PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnostic apparatus capable of preventing deterioration of image quality due to difference among subject individuals in respiration-stopped imaging and respiration-synchronized imaging.SOLUTION: A medical image diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes a measurement unit and an output unit. The measurement unit, when a respiration-related instruction is given to a subject, measures the subjects response characteristic to the instruction.
