PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions for oral ingestion characterized by highly efficient absorption of diosgenin into the body and low production/distribution costs.SOLUTION: The invention provides an oral composition comprising a diosgenin-containing powder and a powdered oil/fat containing 50% mass% or more of a medium chain fatty acid. The diosgenin-containing powder is preferably a Chinese yam extract containing diosgenin from 5 mass% to 20 mass% as a solid content. The medium chain fatty acids are preferably caprylic acid and/or capric acid. The mass ratio of the medium chain fatty acid to the diosgenin is preferably from 2.5 to 100 times. The powdered oil/fat preferably contains from 1 mass% to 5 mass% of glycerol fatty acid ester.
