A method for increasing satiety from food via use of a nondigestiblenonfibrousphysical volumizer. Distention of the stomach reduces hunger and increasesfood satiety.The invention increases volume of the mass being ingested without increasingthe caloricvalue of the ingested quantity. This is achieved by use of a volumizingsubstance that isnot metabolized by the body. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is one materialthat couldbe used as a meal-content volumizing substance.
