PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an absorbent article enabling a user to simply fold without touching a part of a liquid permeable sheet to which body fluid is adhered at the time of disposing.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes: a liquid impermeable sheet 2 a liquid permeable sheet 3 arranged on one side of the liquid impermeable sheet 2 a pair of cylindrical parts 5 and 6 arranged between the liquid impermeable sheet 2 and the liquid permeable sheet 3, including an absorber 4 long in one direction, and extending in the lengthwise direction of the absorber 4 along both sides in the width direction of the absorber 4 and a pair of string-like members 7 and 8 inserted into the pair of cylindrical parts 5 and 6 and extending in the lengthwise direction of the cylindrical parts 5 and 6. Both ends of the pair of string-like members 7 and 8 are each fastened to both ends in the lengthwise direction of the inserted cylindrical parts 5 and 6, and parts excluding both ends in each of the string-like members 7 and 8 are freely drawn to the outside of the cylindrical parts 5 and 6 through lead-out holes 21 and 22 provided on the peripheral surface of the cylindrical parts 5 and 6.
