PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the drawback of a conventional cap holder of being not convenient for a doctor to carry and also being limited in location for placement.SOLUTION: A cap holder 1 includes: a cylindrical body portion 4 and a pair of movable legs 5, 5 swingably provided on the body portion 4. A doctor carries the cap holder 1 with the movable legs 5, 5 collapsed. To use the cap holder, the doctor raises the movable legs 5, 5 to form a tripod with them and an end 4B of the body portion 4, and places the cap holder 1 in that form at an appropriate position (FIg. 7(a)). Subsequently, after a cap 3 of an injection needle 2 is fitted to the body portion 4, the injection needle 2 is pulled out (Fig. 7(b)). When the doctor subsequently inserts the used injection needle 2 into the cap 3 on the body portion 4 side, the cap 3 covers the injection needle 2 (Fig. 7(c)).
