An oil-in-water-type emulsion composition including oily phases and an aqueous phase having the oily phases dispersed therein, said emulsion composition being characterized in that a dispersant for dispersing the oily phases in the aqueous phase comprises: a core-corona-type microgel composed of hydrophobic gel microparticles and hydrophilic groups provided on parts of the surfaces of the hydrophobic gel microparticles; and an aqueous phase containing an agar microgel having an average particle diameter of 10 to 100 μm.
