The present invention provides an antibody that binds to the p19 subunit of human IL-23 and is characterized as having high affinity, selective, and neutralizing properties. The antibody is useful in the treatment or prevention of an autoimmune or inflammatory condition selected from the group consisting of consisting of multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, inflammatory bowel diseases, ankylosing spondylitis, graft-versus-host disease, lupus and metabolic syndrome.. The antibody is also useful in the treatment of cancer.本發明提供一種結合人類IL-23之p19亞單位且以具有高親和力、選擇性及中和性質為特徵之抗體。該抗體可用於治療或預防選自由下列組成之群之自體免疫或發炎病症：多發性硬化症、類風濕性關節炎、牛皮癬、發炎性腸病、關節黏連性脊椎炎、移植物抗宿主病、狼瘡及代謝症候群。該抗體亦可用於治療癌症。
