Processes for coating medical devices are provided herein. The processesinclude heatinga surface of the particles used to form the coating as the particles are beingapplied to the medicaldevice. The resulting coating has improved adherence to the medical device,and does notrequire the use of solvents and/or water, obviating the need for any stepsthat otherwise might berequired to remove these solvents and/or water. Sufficient adherence of theparticles to themedical device may also occur without the need for heating the substrate usedto form themedical device.
