PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding chair, which can be folded by one hand, and can be easily carried.SOLUTION: The folding chair 10 includes a pair of right and left front leg parts 11, a pair of right and left rear leg parts 12, and a seat part 13 supported by the front leg parts 11 and the rear leg parts 12 from below, with an upper surface 13B used as a seat surface, where the seat part 13 is turned upward to make the front leg parts 11 and the rear leg parts 12 approach each other for folding the chair. On a rear edge or a front edge of the seat part 13, a lock bar 20 is horizontally extended, and engagement pawls 27 are disposed on a lower surface of the seat part 13, so that the engagement pawls 27 are energized by a spring 31 to be engaged with the lock bar 20.
