The present invention relates to: a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating osteoporosis including soyasaponin I or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof separated from a peanut sprout extract； to a method for preventing or treating osteoporosis including a step of administering the above pharmaceutical composition to a subject other than human； and to a food composition and a feed composition including the soyasaponin I or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. According to the present invention, the pharmaceutical composition including soyasaponin I or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof can be used for the development of various forms of osteoporosis treatment through treating or alleviating symptoms of osteoporosis without side effects.본 발명은 새싹땅콩 추출물로부터 분리된 소야사포닌 Ⅰ 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용되는 염을 포함하는 골다공증 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물, 상기 약학 조성물을 인간을 제외한 개체에 투여하는 단계를 포함하는 골다공증 예방 또는 치료 방법, 상기 소야사포닌 Ⅰ 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용되는 염을 포함하는 식품 조성물 및 사료 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서 제공하는 소야사포닌 Ⅰ 또는 이의 약학적으로 허용되는 염을 포함하는 약학 조성물은 부작용이 없으면서 골다공증의 증상을 치료 또는 개선시킬 수 있으므로, 다양한 형태의 골다공증 치료용 제제의 개발에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
