A lens support structure supporting an intraocular lens (IOL) is provided, the lens support structure fixedly implanted in a capsular bag of a human eye to hold the IOL in one of a plurality of positions. The support structure is remotely actuated by a remote energy source and causes the IOL to move along the optical axis of the IOL or at least in a plurality of directions about the optical axis of the IOL. A repositioning assembly configured and operable to controllably displace into one, thereby allowing the IOL to move between multiple positions. A lens control system is also provided, the control system comprising a lens support structure and a source energy actuating a portion thereof. An intraocular lens system is also provided, the system comprising a lens support structure and a lens integrated therein.
