PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus that appropriately carries out a helical scan even during acceleration and deceleration periods of a table.SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus carries out a helical scan even during acceleration and deceleration periods of the linear movement of the table mounting a subject, and regenerates a tomographic image on the basis of the acquired data. The apparatus is equipped with a control means to control the linear movement of the table on the basis of a speed profile with an adjustable characteristic.
