A cleaning and/or drying apparatus for vegetables or other articles, the apparatus comprising: a main body a barrel rotatably mounted with respect to the main body and defining a bore therethrough for the receipt of one or more articles to be cleaned and/or dried a first roller motor mounted to the barrel and configured to be carried by the barrel and a first roller rotatably mounted with respect to the barrel and carried by the barrel, the first roller being coupled to the first roller motor, such that the first roller is rotatably driveable with respect to the barrel by the first roller motor, the first roller being positioned with respect to the bore of the barrel such that the roller is operable to clean and/or dry one or more articles passing through the bore defined by the barrel.
