Harvester comprises at least one transfer element for variable acceleration of the picked mass and a reloading device located behind the transfer element to eject the picked mass into a cargo container. Reloading device is made with the possibility of changing its state with the help of at least one actuator to influence the achieved range of ejection. Harvester comprises a control device configured to be activated to compensate the change of the picked mass ejection range caused by variable acceleration of the picked mass by means of controlling at least one actor of the reloading device. Method of reloading the picked mass from the harvester into the cargo container involves acceleration of the picked mass in a variable manner in the harvester and its ejection through the reloading device with a range of ejection.
