PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam generating device supplying an air flow to a fin unit for generating steam without waste and reducing noise while avoiding energy loss.SOLUTION: The steam generating device 10 includes the fin unit 35 having a plurality of thin plates 42, a hot water supply unit 36 supplying hot water to the fin unit 35, a fan unit 37 disposed upstream of the fin unit 35, and a case 11 formed with a suction port 20, a lower blow-off port 27 and side blow-off ports 30A, 30B. In the generating device 10, a baffle member 40 is disposed between the fan unit 35 and the fin unit 37 to pass the air flow blowing off the steam to the outside of the case 11 by rotation of the fan 53 via the fin unit 35.【課題】蒸気を発生させるためのフィンユニットに対して空気流を無駄なく供給し、エネルギーの損失を回避しつつ騒音を小さくすることのできる蒸気発生装置を提供する。【解決手段】複数の薄板４２からなるフィンユニット３５と、このフィンユニット３５に湯を供給する温水供給ユニット３６と、フィンユニット３５の上流側に配置されたファンユニット３７と、吸気口２０と、下部吹出口２７及び側部吹出口３０Ａ、３０Ｂとが形成されたケース１１を備えて蒸気発生装置１０が構成されている。同装置１０は、ファンユニット３５とフィンユニット３７との間に導風部材４０が設けられており、これにより、ファン５３の回転によってケース１１外に蒸気を吹き出す空気流がフィンユニット３５を経由するようになっている。【選択図】図３
