PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent for oral disease which firstly promotes salivary secretion to progress humidification in oral, secondly attains effective oral care to prevent or treat oral disease, thirdly has excellent safety and stability, and is fourthly excellent in a use feeling and manufacturing cost, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A therapeutic agent for oral disease contains essential oil from cedar leaves composed of an oil component extracted by pulverized cedar leaves as an ingredient. The therapeutic agent further contains a base such as glycerin, a thickening binder such as sodium alginate, and an extract from aloe mesophyll, as ingredients. For example, the therapeutic agent is administered to an aged patient having gastrostomy performed so as to prevent or treat oral disease based on reduction of the secretion amount of salivary and dryness in oral. By administering the therapeutic agent, treatment for increasing the secretion amount of salivary or humidifying in oral and treatment for inhibiting increase of oral bacteria are executed.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】第1に、唾液分泌が促進されて、口腔内湿潤が進行し、第2に、もって効果的な口腔ケアが実現されて、口腔疾患が予防,治療され、第3に、更に安全性や安定性に優れ、第4に、使用感等や製造コスト面にも優れた、口腔疾患の治療剤およびその製造方法を提案する。【解決手段】この口腔疾患の治療剤は、粉砕した杉葉から採取された油性分よりなるスギ葉精油を、成分として含有している。そして更に、グリセリン等の基剤と、アルギン酸ナトリウム等の増粘結合剤と、アロエ葉肉エキス等を、成分として含有している。もって、この治療剤は、投与対象が例えば高齢の胃瘻造設患者よりなり、唾液分泌量低下や口腔内乾燥に基づく口腔疾患の予防や治療に用いられる。そして投与により、唾液分泌量の増加や口腔内の湿潤治療と、口腔内細菌の増殖抑制治療とが、実施される。【選択図】図2
