The present invention discloses a co-processed pharmaceutical excipient having improved flow property, comparability, lubricant sensitivity and disintegration rate whether utilized in direct compression, dry granulation or wet granulation formulations, is disclosed. The co-processed excipient is an agglomerate of pre-gelatinized starch and pharmaceutical additive, where in the range of pre-gelatinized starch to additive is 5:95 to 50:50.
