<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diabetic medicine comprising an insulin production promoting material or an inhibiter targeting the inhibiting material thereof by specifying materials promoting insulin production of pancreas &beta； cells and inhibiting materials thereof. <；P>；SOLUTION: The fact that Wnt3a promotes differentiation from adult pancreas stem cells to &beta； cells and has promoting function of insulin production from &beta； cells, and that IGFBP-4 secreted from &alpha； cells inhibits expression of Wnt3A and is a major material inhibiting insulin production, are found out. By using the Wnt3a, the Wnt3a activator or the IGFBP-4 inhibiter (IGFBP-4 activity inhibiter or IGFBP-4 expression inhibiter) as an active agent, preventive or therapeutic pharmaceutical compositions for diabetes based on promoting insulin production, a screening method of IGFBP-4 inhibitors, and a diabetic diagnosis kit are provided. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
