The present invention relates to a novel Bacillus subtilis KP04 strain and uses thereof and, more specifically, a method for removing plant pathogenic fungi or promoting plants growth using the Bacillus subtilis KPO4 and for producing bacillomycin D, salicylic acid or indole acetic acid (IAA) from the cultured Bacillus subtilis KP04. According to the present invention, the Bacillus subtilis KP04 has effects of removing plant pathogenic fungi while promoting plant growth and is accordingly used as a complex preparation, thereby being produced and distributed as a microbial preparation and culturing crops in an eco-friendly manner.본 발명은 신규한 바실러스 서브틸리스 KP04 균주 및 이의 용도에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로 바실러스 서브틸리스 KP04를 이용해 식물 병원균을 방제하는 방법 또는 바실러스 서브틸리스 KP04를 이용해 식물 생육을 촉진시키는 방법에 관한 것이다. 또한, 바실러스 서브틸리스 KP04 배양물로부터 바실로마이신 D, 살리실산 또는 인돌아세트산(IAA)을 생산하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 바실러스 서브틸리스 KP04는 식물병 방제 효과를 가지면서 동시에 식물의 생육을 효과적으로 증진시킬 수 있어 복합제제로서 유용성을 가지므로, 다양한 미생물 제제로 생산·보급되어 화학농약을 쓰지 않고 친환경적으로 농작물을 생산할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
