The present invention provides a medium containing silica nanoparticle as growth promoter of bioagents like Trichoderma harzianum. Silica nanoparticles are prepared by standard Stober method. The bioagent Trichoderma harzianum and pathogenic fungi i.e. Acremonium kiliense A.strictum and Fusarium solani are grown in petri dishes separately containing 1% nano silica in agar media. The bioagents T harzianum grew profusely both alone and versus all the pathogenic separately represented by large no. of green coloured spores.In dual culture, three pathogenic fungi stated above separately inoculated along with T harzianum. In all three cases, the bio-agent grew profusely suppressing the growth of pathogenic fungi with same media containing 1% silica nanoparticles.
