The pet toys have a first portion' (12) and a second portion (14)which releaseably engage to retain the edible treat (2OA, 20B) with the toy untilthe treat is consumed or otherwise removed from the toy by the pet. When desired, thetoy can be disassembled by removing the first portion. from the second portion, newtreats can be added to the toy, and the two portions reassembled.
