An adhesive patch is provided in which piroxicam is formulatedas a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic. In particular,provided is a piroxicam-containing transdermally absorbable adhesivepatch in which an absorption promoter to piroxicam is formulated toachieve high anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects withoutinhibiting releasing of these drugs. The piroxicam-containingtransdermally absorbable adhesive patch contains piroxicam as amedicinal component and oxybuprocaine or a pharmaceuticallyacceptable salt thereof as an absorption promoter. In the piroxicam-containing transdermally absorbable adhesive patch, the content ofpiroxicam is from 0.1% to 5% by weight to the total weight of adrug-containing plaster and the content of oxybuprocaine or thepharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is from 1% to 30% by weightto the total weight of the drug-containing plaster.
