PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating an arrowroot utilizing a fallow field to efficiently harvest its flowers, leaves, stems and roots through cultivating it in a farm while preventing it from intruding into other farms, to easily harvest its perennial stems in particular.SOLUTION: The method for cultivating an arrowroot comprises the following process: Arrowroot seedlings are produced by its cuttage, and then planted in a farm covered with a highly water-permeable and air-permeable sheet preventing its terrestrial stems from rooting from its knots, thus cultivating the arrowroot without using any supporting poles and growing it while suppressing weed breeding, and easily harvesting its perennial stems in this process, a vacant land is provided around the arrowroots cultivation farmland, and by plowing the vacant land two or three times in its breeding season ranging from June to August, the arrowroot is prevented from intruding into other farms.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】休耕地を利用したクズの栽培に関し、他の圃場へのクズの侵出を抑えつつ、クズを圃場で栽培し、クズの花、葉、茎および根を効率よく採取する方法、特に多年生茎を容易に採取する方法を提供すること。【解決手段】クズの挿木法による苗つくり、そのクズの苗を、透水性および通気性がよく、クズ地上茎の節からの発根することを妨げるシートで被覆した圃場に植えて、支柱なしで栽培することにより、雑草の生育を抑えつつクズを生育させ、かつ容易に多年生茎を採取する方法、並びにクズ栽培農地の周囲に空き地を設け、6月から8月の繁茂期に2、3回耕起することによりクズの農地外への侵出を防ぐ方法等を提供する。【選択図】なし
