PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator capable of preventing the formation of a large-diameter mist at the start of use.SOLUTION: The mist generator includes a rotating substrate 4 rotationally driven by a motor 3 a tank 5 for storing a mist-generating liquid and a liquid feeding means for feeding the rotating substrate 4 with the liquid stored in the tank 5. The liquid feeding means includes a pump motor 26 and a liquid feed pump 23 driven by the motor 26. At the start of use, the pump motor 26 is started after the lapse of a predetermined time from the start of the motor 3.
