PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system capable of selectively using a plurality of types of endoscopes with different functions that can reduce man-hour necessary for a development of each endoscope.SOLUTION: The endoscope system according to the present invention which can selectively use a plurality of types of endoscopes with different functions includes: a distal end hard member that is used in common for the plurality of types of endoscopes and disposed at a distal end of an insertion portion of each of the plurality of types of endoscopes and imaging units with different configurations each of which is mechanically coupled with the distal end hard member and is applied to each of the plurality of types of endoscopes.
