PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of excellently assisting motion of a thumb of a hand.SOLUTION: A driving device 1 comprises: a base member 10； a first member 20； and a second member 30. The base member 10 is a member disposed at a palm side of a hand, has a flat block-like outer shape, and is mounted onto the hand by any fixture, for example, such as a band and a hook. The first member 20 is provided to the base member 10 in a rotatable manner about a first rotary shaft 51 along a forefinger metacarpal bone 80 of the hand. The first member 20 is disposed across from the vicinity of a third joint of a back side of a thumb to the vicinity of a second joint thereof. The second member 30 is a relatively rotatable member with respect to the first member 20. A leading end portion of the second member 30 is fixed between from a first joint of the back side of the thumb to the second joint thereof.
