PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating agent for retinopathy, particularly for retinal degenerative disease.SOLUTION: The treating agent comprises an algae powder derived from algae Dunalliela, preferably Dunalliela Bardawil, comprising 9-cis-β-carotene and is used for treating or preventing ophthalmic medical conditions of congenital night blindness.
