PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that can bring about a comfortable wearing feeling by having sufficient flexibility even when an absorber is stuck on a carrying material, a wrapping material and the like.SOLUTION: In an absorbent article of the present invention, an absorber includes at least a hydrophilic fiber layer that has a plurality of nonpenetrating slit parts and that includes hydrophilic fibers. In the hydrophilic fiber layer, a plurality of recesses are provided in positions corresponding to the plurality of nonpenetrating slit parts in the thickness direction of the absorbent article, on a surface on the opposite side to the surface with the slit parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
