A walking support apparatus for supporting a primary user in a substantially upright position comprising, a frame structure having at least one wheel 3, means for receiving and supporting said primary user in said substantially upright position with respect to said frame structure； and an auxiliary attachment means for releasably coupling a secondary user to said frame structure. The means for supporting the primary user may be a harness 26, which may have a hoist attachment point in addition to the support attachment point. The secondary user may be coupled to the primary user by means of linkages 36 to allow the secondary user to aid the movement of the primary user. These linkages 36 may be straps between the hips, legs and/or feet. The frame may comprise a base portion comprising longitudinally extending sides 5, 6, and an upper portion 10.
