PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle treatment planning apparatus for creating treatment planning data where uniformity of a dose distribution is improved.SOLUTION: The treatment planning apparatus for creating the treatment planning data with which a particle beam therapy is conducted determines a scanning direction by extracting a movement of a target from a plurality of sheets of tomographic image including a diseased part (the target) of a patient and projecting the target to the inside of a scanning surface of a scanning electromagnet.
