A composition suitable for airfield management comprises fine fescue grasses that result in environmental benefits, including protection of human life and wildlife； decreased mowing, to deeper and larger root systems and tremendous financial savings. One preferred version includes: (a) about 25-50% by weight Hard Fescue； (b) about 25-50% by weight Creeping Red Fescue； and (c) about 25-50% by weight Chewings Fescue.
