PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush capable of sufficiently securing the moldability and durability while improving the design property by constituting a handle transparently despite an anchorless toothbrush having a head part, which has the thickness of 4 mm or less and has a superior operability, in the oral cavity and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: This toothbrush is formed with molten masses 4 at the base ends of bristle tufts 2 formed by bundling a plurality of filaments, and fixed with the bristle tufts 2 with the molten masses 4 embedded in the head part 11, wherein the thickness of the head part 11 is not less than 1.5 mm and not more than 4 mm.
