Disclosed is an apparatus which includes a rotatable platform, a milking stall provided on the platform, and means for controlling movement of a teat cup magazine relative to the stall. The controlling means provides the teat cup magazine with a first predefined position relative to a milking stall and a second predefined position relative to the milking stall, and comprises automated means for moving the teat cup magazine between the first and second predefined positions. The position of the teat cup magazine, relative to the stall, is dependent upon the position of the stall within its rotary cycle.
