PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it takes a lot of time to perform all the measurements performed with a subject information acquisition apparatus.SOLUTION: The subject information acquisition apparatus comprises: a receiver having a plurality of conversion elements which receive an acoustic wave and output a reception signal and a support member on which the plurality of conversion elements are arranged； a movement mechanism which is configured to move the receiver； and a control section which inputs a driving signal to the movement mechanism. The plurality of conversion elements are arranged on the support member so that directional axes of a part of the conversion elements are concentrated.
