PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide boron nitride (h-BN) fluophor having largely improved light emission intensity and a graphite structure.SOLUTION: There is provided a h-BN fluophor consisting of h-BN aggregate particles where h-BN primary particles are aggregated and having characteristics [1] to [4] or [3] to [6]. [1] light emission peak wavelength exists at 300 to 400 nm. [2] oxygen concentration is 0.1 to 10 wt.%. [3] the h-BN aggregate particles are spherical aggregate particles. [4] the h-BN aggregate particles are aggregate particles having a card house structure. [5] light emission peak exists at 200 to 280 nm. [6] oxygen concentration is 0.3 wt.% or less, A fluophor having [1] to [4] characteristics is used as luminaire as a light emitting device together with an excitation light source. A fluophor having [3] to [6] characteristics is as a luminaire for resin curing and for antibacterial and sterilization and further an air purifier used together with a light catalyst as a light emitting device together with an excitation light source.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
