Ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung werden vorgeschlagen, um die Konzentration mindestens eines für die Pflanzengesundheit maßgebenden Nährstoffs in einem Aquarium oder dergleichen zu ermitteln. Zur Ermittlung der Nährstoffkonzentrationen wird eine Probe des Wassers aus dem Aquarium entnommen und in eine Messkammer gebracht, in die ebenfalls ein mit dem Nährstoff zusammenwirkendes Indikatormittel eingebracht wird. Aus der Reaktion des Indikatormittels mit dem Nährstoff ergibt sich eine Trübung, die mit einem Fotometer gemessen werden kann.A method and an apparatus are proposed for determining the concentration of at least one nutrient relevant for plant health in an aquarium or the like.
