A compression bandage for treating lymphatic edema. The compression bandagecomprises abandage body made of a resilient material to be wrapped around the bodyextremity, with aninner side and an outside, as well as with a first and a second end section,and a first group offastening straps. The fastening straps of the first group are arranged on anend section of thebandage body, arc separated from one another by notches in the bandage body,and have firstfastening means, by means of which the respective fastening strap of the firstgroup can befastened to the outside of the bandage body. A second group of fasteningstraps is provided,which is fastened to the outside of the bandage body and whose fasteningstraps are arrangedso that they cover the notches, when the compression bandage is applied on abody extremity.
