Personal lubricant compositions comprise: water, sclerotium gum, carrageenan, and one or more natural emollients. The compositions may comprise by weight: sclerotium gum in an amount in the range of about 0.5% to about 3.0%； carrageenan in an amount in the range of about 0.1% to about 3.0%； and one or more natural emollients in an amount in the range of about 0.5% to about 9.0%； and water. The compositions may be essentially free of one or more of paraben, glycerin or propylene glycol. The personal lubricant compositions may be tailored depending on the application.
