PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a unit for holding a subject in a subject information acquisition device that holds a subject using a flexible holding member.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device includes: a holding unit for pressing and holding a subject using a flexible holding member an acoustic wave probe for receiving an acoustic wave that comes from within the subject through the holding member and signal processing means for analyzing the acoustic wave that the acoustic wave probe receives.
