PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersant capable of keeping comparatively long, a state where a material to be dispersed is dispersed into water； and to provide a composition containing the dispersant.SOLUTION: There is provided a dispersant containing fiberized paramylon derived from Euglena. A state where a material to be dispersed is dispersed into water can be kept comparatively long by the dispersant containing fiberized paramylon derived from Euglena, and the dispersant preferably contains fiberized paramylon to which a fibrillation treatment by shearing force is applied.
