PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide creation means of a multi-branched grafted seedling in which a nursery period difference between a conventional single-branched cultivation method and the multi-branched cultivation method is reduced as much as possible, and of which lateral branches of a grafted seedling have an equal growth rate.SOLUTION: A creating method of a tomato multi-branched grafted seedling which grafts a scion having at least one lateral branch respectively at root parts of two cotyledons and a rootstock, comprises: a decapitation step which performs a decapitation operation of a main stem between the root part of the cotyledon and a first major leaf on a seedling after the period of major leaf first leaf stage in which two cotyledons are extended and before the period of second leaf stage a lateral branch growth step which raises the seedling obtained by the decapitation step and grows at least one lateral branch having length of 0.1-40 mm respectively from the root parts of the two cotyledons and a grafting step which grafts the seedling having the lateral branch obtained by the lateral branch growth step as the scion into the rootstock.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】本発明は、接木苗の多本仕立栽培法において、従来の一本仕立栽培法との育苗期間の差を可能な限り短縮し、且つ生育揃いのよい複数の側枝を有する接木苗を作成する手段を提供する。【解決手段】本発明は、二枚の子葉の付け根部のそれぞれに少なくとも一本の側枝を有する穂木と、台木とを接木した、トマトの多本仕立接木苗を作成する方法であって、二枚の子葉が展開した本葉1葉期以降且つ2葉期未満の幼苗において、子葉の付け根部と第一本葉との間で主茎部を摘心する摘心工程;前記摘心工程で得られた幼苗を育苗して、二枚の子葉の付け根部のそれぞれから、0.1~40 mmの長さを有する少なくとも一本の側枝を生長させる側枝生長工程;前記側枝生長工程で得られた側枝を有する幼苗を穂木として、台木に接木する接木工程を含む前記方法に関する。【選択図】なし
