The present invention is directed to an edible coating comprising milled rhodoxanthin having an average particle size D(v,0.5) in the range of from 400 to 650 nm, more preferably in the range of from 500 nm to 600 nm, measured by Laser Diffraction Malvern Mastersizer 3000, MIE volume distribution.
