Il-18 participates in both innate and acquired Immunity. The bioactivity of IL - 18 is negatively regulated by il-18 Binding Protein (il18bp), an inhibitor of Natural Origin and highly specific. This Protein forms a complex with soluble IL - 18 free prevents its interaction with the Receptor of IL - 18 and inhibiting, thus neutralizing its biological activity.The present Invention discloses binding Molecules, particularly Antibodies or Fragments thereof that bind to il-18 and did not bind to il-18 and il-18bp (Complex il-18 and il-18bp).La IL-18 participa tanto en la inmunidad innata como adquirida. La bioactividad de la IL-18 está regulada negativamente por la proteína de unión a IL-18 (IL18BP),un inhibidor de origen natural y altamente específico. Esta proteína soluble forma un complejo con IL-18 libre que previene su interacción con el receptor de IL-18, neutralizando de este modo e inhibiendo su actividad biológica. La presente invención da a conocer moléculas de unión, en particular anticuerpos o fragmentos de los mismos, que se unen a IL-18 y no se unen a IL-18 unida a IL-18BP (complejo IL-18/IL-18BP).
