PURPOSE: A book sanitizing method and an apparatus thereof are provided to prevent overlapped sanitization and to enhance air purification and disinfection efficiency by negative ion generation due to corona discharge. CONSTITUTION: A book sanitizing method comprises the following steps: reading information of book which will be disinfected(S10)； distinguishing whether the book is sanitized by analyzing information(S20)； locking door of a main body if the book is done sanitizing and opening the door of main body if the book has not been sanitized yet(S30)； distinguishing whether a disinfection operation signal was input or not after opening the door of main body(S40)； repeating up to the operation signal input step until the disinfection operation signal is input if the disinfection operation signal has not been input and locking the door once the signal is input(s50)； sanitizing by circulating air inside the main body while spraying disinfectant to inside the main body after locking the door(S60)； purifying air while disinfection operation is on(S70)； and recording information of books which disinfection is completed once the disinfection operation is completed(S80).본 발명은 소독이 이미 완료된 책과 소독을 해야 할 책을 구분하여 소독이 이루어지도록 하여 소독이 완료된 책에 대한 중복 소독이 미연에 방지되도록 하면서 코로나 방전에 의한 음이온의 발생으로 본체 내부의 공기 정화와 소독 효율의 향상이 원활하게 이루어지도록 하는 책 소독 방법에 관한 것으로, 이 방법은 소독할 책의 정보를 리딩하는 책정보 리딩 단계와； 상기 리딩된 책의 정보를 분석하여 이미 소독이 완료된 책인지를 판별하는 기소독 완료 판별 단계와； 소독이 완료된 책이면 본체의 도어를 잠그고, 소독이 완료된 책이 아니면 본체의 도어를 개방하는 도어 개폐 단계와； 상기 본체의 도어를 개방한 후에, 소독 작동 조작 신호가 입력되었는지를 판별하는 조작신호 입력 판별 단계와； 상기 소독 작동 조작 신호가 입력되었으면 도어를 잠그는 도어 잠금 단계와； 본체 내부의 공기를 순환시켜 소독 작동을 실시하는 소독 작동 단계와； 본체의 내부로 분사되는 공기에 코로나 방전을 일으켜 공기 정화 작동을 실시하는 공기 정화 단계와； 상기 소독 작동이 완료되면 소독이 완료된 책의 정보를 기록하는 책정보 기록 단계와； 상기 소독이 완료된 책의 정보에 대한 기록이 완료된 후에 도어를 개방하는 도어 개방 단계를； 포함한다.
