PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting device which can be disposed on an outdoor or indoor wall to decorate and appreciate the wall like a picture. SOLUTION: The vertically arrangeable planting device is obtained by covering a planting soil comprising lightweight and well water-permeable solid soil with an outer cover to form a flat soil mat 20, forming a container 10 in a flat tray shape for receiving the soil mat 20, forming liquid-injecting openings 15 at positions which are be disposed at upper places, when the planting device is vertically arranged, forming holes 13, 19 at places corresponding to the bottom of the tray, and covering the container 10 with a panel 25 having holes permitting the outward growth of plants planted in the soil, while nipping the soil mat 20 between the panel 25 and the bottom of the tray.
