PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a medical image with high precision, while reducing time for positioning the medical image.
SOLUTION: The extraction processor 2 of the medical image-processing apparatus 1 sets landmarks of each medical image from volume data of two medical images. The positional relationship information-generating part 3 generates positional relationship information that indicates positional relationship of the landmarks for each of the two medical images. The landmark-coordinating part 4 eliminates one or more landmarks on each medical image from the positional relationship information. Further, the landmark-coordinating part 4 coordinates the landmarks of two medical images that remained after the elimination. The image-aligning part 5 aligns the two sets of volume data from the result of the coordination of landmarks.
