An electric bed having a first driver (4c) that performs rising and lowering operation of a second frame (2b) with respect to a first frame (2a), a controller (12) that controls the rising and lowering operation by the first driver (4c), and a remote controller (13) that gives the controller (12) arising and lowering instruction by switch manipulation, wherein the controller (12) lowers the second frame (2b) at a normal lowering speed when a height of the second frame (2b) is a predetermined height or more during depression of a sixth switch (13f) of the remote controller (13), and lowers the second frame (2b) at a reduced lowering speed slower than the normal lowering speed when the height of the second frame (2b) is less than the predetermined height.
