PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper in which a pocket opens automatically in use time with a simple structure.SOLUTION: On each of formation positions of pockets 71, 72 on a top sheet 11, a pocket formation sheet 73 which extends to both end parts in a width direction of an absorbent surface part is provided. An end part on a waist side on the pocket formation sheet 73 is a root part 74 jointed to the top sheet 11. A crotch side closer to a crotch part than the root part 74 is a non-junction which is not jointed to the top sheet 11, and a non-junction is an insertion space for an absorbent pads P1, P2 of the pockets 71, 72.
