PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bio-absorbable implant which breaks down quickly, exhibits an excellent bone fusion property, and is hardly damaged and a method of manufacturing the same.
SOLUTION: The bio-absorbable implant comprises a composite including a bio-absorbable polymer and bioactive ceramics and a porous body which is formed on the composite and has pores with an average diameter of 300 &mum or more and fine pores with an average diameter of 1 &mum or less. The method of manufacturing the bio-absorbable implant includes a composite preparing process having a suspension preparing process for mixing a solution in which the bio-absorbable polymer is dissolved in a first solvent and the bioactive ceramics and a composite deposition process for mixing a non-solvent of the bio-absorbable polymer which is compatible with the first solvent and the suspension, the process of preparing granules for mixing the granulated composite and the granules of a soluble substance, a molding process for heat-molding the granulated mixture at 10 MPa or less, and an eluting process for dipping the molded body in a solvent.
