PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide immunocompetent-enhancing agents, and preventive or improving agents for allergic symptoms, which have a macrophage activity-promoting effect and a degranulation inhibitory effect and the like.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a macrophage activation promoter, a degranulation inhibitor, a cytokine production promoting agent, an immunocompetent-enhancing agent, and a preventive or improving agent of allergic symptoms, wherein young vinegar which is black vinegar at the stage where ripening has not progressed sufficiently is contained as an active ingredient.
